I love Swedish forests more than any other. They are wild and empty and perfect for getting lost in. Moss and bilberries and random boulders cover the ground. When I was young my mother told me a Swedish fairy tale; that the boulders were thrown there by giants. I know them now to have been left by glaciers, but I prefer my mum’s version. I totally agree. I especially like the southern parts of Sweden, where it’s more common with deciduous forests. So beautiful.
